The Game
Reader Rabbit 1 Deluxe is a video game released by The Learning Company in 1996 for Windows and Macintosh. It is a remake of Reader Rabbit 1, with a thorough graphical makeover and an introduction to the new characters Mat the Mouse, her pocket friend Pop and Ernest the Train.

The four activities are the same as Reader Rabbit 1, but with different modes included.

Matchup - There are six levels of difficulty in this game. The player can match pictures with pictures, match pictures with words, match words with words, match pictures with first letters, match pictures with last letters and match pictures with middle letters. Word types include Travel, House, Play, Containers, Kitchen, Outdoors, Variety and People.

Sorter - There are four levels of difficulty in this game. In the first difficulty level, the player has a choice of words beginning with b, c, d, f, g, h, j, l, m, n, p, r, s, t and w. In the second difficulty level, the player has a choice of words ending with b, d, g, m, n, p, t and x. In the third difficulty level, the player has a choice of words containing a vowel as the middle letter. In the fourth difficulty level, the player has a choice of words containing any letter as the first, middle or last letter.

Labeller - The four difficulty levels in this game share that of the "Sorter" rules. It also makes use of the picture types in "Matchup".

Word Train - The four difficulty levels in this game share that of the "Sorter" rules as well as the letter variety.
