Family Circus: Our House
|
The Game
This is an edutainment title from 1992 aimed at a younger audience. Called Our House featuring the Family Circus (a.k.a. Now and Then), the game compares life in modern times to those when the parents, grandparents and other ancestors of the comic were young.
The game was designed to help your child develop an appreciation of history and science while being entertaining. Through an interactive tour children go from room to room of a traditional home on their own to learn more about the every day objects that surround them. From radio to refrigerators, the program is designed to answer two of the questions most commonly asked by children: "How does it work?" and What was it like when you were young? Our House sought to empower children by allowing them to create their own fun and unique learning experiences. And during their journey some 400 stories will tell them what homelife was like in the 1920s, 1860s, and 1780s.
